I was playing around with shooting at very high shutter speed and caught this guy:

Let me know what you think,

It's very exciting when you can stop the wings of a bee. I think running this through levels will help get rid of some of the background noise and create sharper contrast in the details of the bee.

Brilliant! How in heaven's name did you get it in focus?

Nice capture. Looks like it was cropped pretty heavily from a much bigger picture.

I agree. Just tried to get more out of it. But too much noise and artifacts to improve.

Thanks Bobby!

Alan,
Thanks! It only took me taking over 100 photos of them before I got one that was in focus. The auto focus wouldn't focus on them because they are so small. I had to focus manually. I set the focus on an object that was about the same distance away as they were coming to me and started shooting. I finally got this photo but the bee was moving very quickly. He was in the upper right corner of the frame when I caught him.

Thanks again,
Blair

Thanks Eric and yes it was cropped from a much larger photo. They move so fast I had to zoom out to see them long enough to get one in the frame.
