neat picture i took of one of my pencil fish amoung the plants and the surface.

Nice reflected image of the pencil fish. It's not easy to get accurate focus in such complicated environment, but, your shot is close. That hatchet fish there is interesting, a good subject to practice photography skills.

I like it! It's got a lot of atmosphere. Have you got software that could reduce the contrast a little? That might be worth a try.
:idea: Take 19 similar ones and you have an excellent quiz for your local aquarium society :-)

hmm i took some of the contrast out via PS CS2 and it made the picture look flat. even with just removing alittle bit

I think that this is the type of shot I try not to take. Dont take me wrong, it's interesting definitely, BUT I think this is a perfect example of a subject lost in its surroundings. The plants are great and very bright and loud, and the subject itself is so small and not colourfull, that it drowns completely. If I dont look carefully all I see are a bunch of random plants.

Please think of it as "what is the subject of the photo" it should be VERY clear what it is. Is it in the above photo? Either a really tight crop on the subject or a reshoot would be advised.
