Welcome to APF! That's a nice shot to start with. 'It does what it says on the tin' (a rather irritating UK catchphrase which started as an advert for wood varnish).
Have you any photoprocessing software? I think the shot would be improved by a tiny bit more contrast and by removing the two white spots to the right of the fish (just bits floating in the water which have picked up the flash).
More please!

Not bad, needs a little bit of clean up as Alan pointed out. Also it's a weird crop. too wide on the sides and not big enough top to bottom, it's cut off in a weird place. Pull back and get a shot of the whole head and fins, or just a close up on the face. This one is cut weird.
Agree with what Alan and Ed have commented. But, well, the shot is far better than what I got from the first month into aquatic photography. Keep it up.
