Beautiful fish, Ted. Congrats on picking up every described species of Pelvicachromis. Sad that you're moving away from Apistos, but from the looks of these guys, I can see why.

BTW, let me know if you do decide to let more of your stocks go. I'm interested in the A. sp. 'algodon' and the A. sp. 'maulbruter'. :)

Ted, good to see you back. The first shot is very good, though there are some imperfections that are easily removed. I hope you dont mind, I took out some distracting parts, like the blue background and the camera reflection, plus I adjusted shadows highlights to bring out more of the fish, plus adjusted the color a tad to get some green back in the moss.

Nice shot of the 1st photo which was taken with the P&S camera, and the revised version by Ed is even better.

Thanks...

Ed, I see what you are trying to do with adjusting the images, but in the process of making the java moss greener you also made the rich browns of the fish a little too green as well. The original image was not adjusted by me in any way, and that dark brown over the red is very accurate to life. That has always been my difficulty with adjusting images, one thing is improved at the cost of another.

For times like this, using a layer mask will allow you to change the background and leave the rest of the images untouched.
