I'd like to take some nice photo's for the 2006 AGA International Aquascaping Contest. Can anyone recommend a good place to rent a digital SLR, and what type of camera/equipment to look for.

Greg, that you? :) Is this for the convention in November?

Take a look at Keeble & Shuchat in Palo Alto if you want something up north. Down south, you can check out Canoga Camera and also Calumet. They all do Nikon and Canon rentals; you can peruse their rental policies and what they have available.

I would take a look at a body, decent zoom lens, and probably 2 flashes.

Calumet (quite a few around; both in NorCal and SoCal)

OK I'm going to rent the equipment from these guys. I'm looking to get two flashes, camera, and two lenses for Macro and a full tank shot. What do you guys recommend, looking to spend around $100. Man, 1/6 the price of getting a camera :-(
