The site was moved earlier today by the new Admin, Li (Neoprodigy) to a brand new Dedicated server. You will see increases in speed and reliability. Unfortunately during that period a few posts got lost. If your post has not made the transfer, please do repost.
Ed (for Li, who's busy with the move)

Everyone's gallery is still not up, I think Li is in the middle of the move. Dont worry, it should be ok, I still have the back up copy of everything on the old server, which I am going to use for my personal site.

Strange - i got an reply from TjHallock for my lost thread Cleaning job - but the link from email notification leads to this thread. And my thread is deleted. :-)

I still get email notifications, but the link leads to the wrong (this!) thread and i canīt find my own thread ("Cleaning Job") in AQUATIC DSLR GALLERY. Do i make a silly mistake? No, i guess something odd is going on here ;-)
Even more strange - some hours before i was able to see my thread.
Ibn has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Cleaning job - in the
AQUATIC DSLR GALLERY forum of Aquatic Photography Forum.

Talked to Li today, he's working on the portal and the gallery.
Andreas, the links probably point to the threads that got erased during the transfer. I saw your new thread with the SW fish.
Bobby, it IS fast. Dedicated server is a totally different "fish" from the shared servers we were on before. No routing and rerouting all over the place.
IT will take a few days or even more, but I think you guys will like it. There are some changes coming to the look and feel of the site too. Hold on. :)

There is also something wrong with the login. While I am logged in, on the main page/portal, it appears as if I am not - Login is still there, and no logout. However, within the forums, I get a "Log out" and can post.
Looking forward to the new gear though!

I'm still having log in problems (using Firefox). I can log in and my name appears on the list of users, but I have to reply or start a thread and then log in again before I get proper access to the whole site.

Guys, I talked to Li yesterday, they are working on the problems, I guess moving to a dedicated server where the company does not JUST supply you with everything is move difficult than he thought.

I actually registered here several months ago but hadn't visited much till now and recently purchasing my first dSLR. Anyway, have all kinds of problems at work and at home logging in and posting I re-registered with a new username. (I also use Mozilla at work and at home) I am not experiencing any problems under the new name today but I am wordering if it is because of these problems mentioned in these posts. It hit me on my way to work this morning that it may be a Mozilla compatibility issue. No matter how good Mozilla is there are still issues with some websites. I had logged in and posted under the original username a few days ago. Anyway, I was previously registered as fyrflye but I can't login under that name so now I am Debbienflorida!

You may be right Debbie. I'm using IE at work now (getting a few moments R & R before an evening class) and it is very fast with no problems at all.

I believe its a serverside cookie issue.
http://www.aquatic-photography.com doesnt log me in. http://aquatic-photography.com does.
When I click the portal link, it redirects you back to the main page but not as it should be. IE; its now www.aquatic-photography.com, wrong cookie, it should be http://aquatic-photography.com. I had a similar problem with a CMS.

Alan I just attempted to login at home using Mozilla and was directed right back to login page. opened IE and logged in fine.

I tried uploading 2 pics and was not able to, message about contacting webmaster....
Maybe there's some new "quality filters" in place, if the pics don't make the cut, they don't get uploaded:lol:

I tried loading several pics today, but there was an problem: the photos uploaded fine (yes, I can see the thumbnails) ... but the full-sized photo is NOT there (I get the red "X")
Here's a link to one of the photos I uploaded:

Do advise!
