I wish the light was off in the room behind the tank in this shot, and the chinese perch got his nose in the way. It also needs a bit more light, but this guy is so big it's hard to really get his/her whole body lit up. Anyway, here he/she is:)

Thats a nice shot Levi. It would be better if the light was on the front of the fish but still a nice shot of a beast of a fish.

Yeah, nice beast (as Ron mentioned) and a neat capture too. However, what's going on under the anal fin. It looks like a block of wood.

That tank is kind of like a room divider, and I was a moron and left the lights on in the room behind the tank. Is there a way to crop that out without making it look p-chopped?
Thanks for the comments:)

How about this below. I edited out the window and the fish, plus some tank lines. Sharpened it up a tad, and evened out the tone between the face and the rest of the body. What do you think?

Wow. That is amazing:D
Every time I tried to get rid of the window I screwed the fins up on the fish. Thanks for making that 100x better!

An easier way to shoot your fish is to tape a piece of black posterboard to the back of the tank. It's cheap and very effective. I carry various sizes around with me in case I have a similar problem.

Doesn't that spook the fish for a day or two, until they get used to it?

On this tank, it would make no difference at all. Nothing bothers them when they are big like that.
