Would this work for a print?
Played with the color saturation to give it a little more green. What is your oppinions?

Bobby, I like the subject matter but the green ( at least on my CRT in the study) is almost fluorescent
looking on the trunk of the tree, and a few leaves in the lower right, giving it an unnatural look. I'll check the pic on my laptop tomorrow morning, could be my monitor doing some of this.
Still a great pic of a restful, easy-on-the-eyes scene!B-)

Bobby ?
Did you do any layer masking here ? Especially foreground ? Looks a bit out of place color wise, no ?

What I tried to do is create less color saturation throughout the image. Also did an abnormal highlight adjustment to try and create a more monotone effect. Then went back and increased the green hue and saturation to create an off balance green effect. Trying to get away from a photo to more like a painting.
Oh, and I worked in cmyk rather than rgb. That is probably why green is showing so flourescent on our monitors.
Evidently didn't work out like I was hoping. Starting to venture out of the fish room and create some prints to hang around the office. Need lots of practice.

One thing I do like is the minimalist framing you used, very nice.
Same thoughts as Bill. Saturation is good, but when it turns bark a flourescent green, it might not be the best. If you want to try working in a different color space, try LAB.

New version. Less green and worked in rgb.

Bobby, looks great! This would make a wonderful picture blown up to 2'x4' for someone living a drab
apartment in the city with no view. The kind of picture that has a fluorescent light behind it to light it up;)
It might be a pixel-ated mess blown up to that dimension, but even a 12"x24" would be nice (thinking
about the 2' or 4' fluorescents needed to light it).

Thanks Bill. I just printed it out a larger version on my new printer on Heavy Matt 11"x14" paper and it looks so much better than on the smaller stuff.
And you're right about the backlight. the tree bark looks like you could reach out and peel it off the tree. Very cool effect when I put it in front of a lamp:-D

Bobby, alongwith that fancy new printer, are you using Qimage or some other software program for
the printer? Got a friend that swears by Qimage Pro.

Even 11x14 would be cool. You'd have to figure what small fluorescents work best when you build the
lightbox behind it;)
