thanks all - this little fellow convinced me that I really need a handstrap for my 350D. I noticed him snap up a couple of ants or something with his tongue and was determined to catch him doing it.... after 5 minutes of holding the cam with one hand and no result I had to give up though! As I don't have a battery grip, I am hoping to get one from Camdapter for xmas...
