san antonio zoo

hey people just got back home from san antonio been there for a week and got to go to the zoo there and take some pictures and got a few ok shots. I took alot of bird and fish pics these are some of the many large animals found there. I had a hard time getting clear shots of some animals due to the foot traffic I went the day after turkey day.

Hi Kaiser

The last shot is my favourite of the three, what a great looking animal. I would love to see a shot of that one from water level but you would need some depth of field to get that snout in full focus. I know the crowds can be a pain at zoos which is why I like to go in the winter when its quiet.

That last shot is excellent. I've never seen a gharial - but I won't let a little crowd stop me from taking half a zillion photos if I ever do :)

I took a few more shot of the gharial but it went under the water after a few shots and as for getting a water level shot I was as close to it as I could be with my 70-300 mm lens and these guys were very hard to see till the last second I was not about to hang over the wall to get a shot of one I now they eat fish but I would not like to on the news for being attacked but thank you for the comments. I found these guys very sweet never seen them before and was lucky to get the shot.
