hey guys
I just upgraded my camera, and have a great deal for someone looking to get into DSLR.
Canon 20D body (less than 10k actuations) great condition, with the Grip, 2 batteries, the handstrap (not easy to find), all boxes with UPC codes intact and all acessories. Here is what they sell for new, shopping cart out of B&H Photo:
Canon EOS 20D, 8.2 Megapixel, SLR, Digital Camera (Camera Body)
$949.95
Canon BG-E2 Vertical Grip/Battery Holder for EOS 20D
$169.95
Canon BP-511A Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (7.4v 1390mAh)
$49.95
Canon E1 Hand Strap for EOS 1, 1N, 1V, EOS 3, D2000 & 1D
$ 22.95
Total: $ 1,192.80
I need $800 for Camera + extra battery and Strap, or $925 for ALL of it including the grip.
I am in the San Fernando Valley area, approximately where 405 and 101 meet (work) or where 405 and 118 meet (home).
If you are SERIOUS, please call me on my cell, 818-326-2517. I will ship to someone out of state, no problem, gotta pay shipping (buyer) but would be nice to hand it to someone local.

Forgot to mention, I also have (separately) a MINT (used twice) Canon 100-400L IS lens, for $1,200 plus shipping. That is $200 off new price, and it's BRAND NEW. Seriously, mint.

I just upgraded my camera.
After reading the title I was hoping to see SWITCHING brands
Good luck Ed !
PS. Ed keeps his equipment to notch. Excellent seller ! Don't be afraid to deal with him.
Ditto on Jay's comments. Great looking gear for a great price.

Certainly good prices there, but what upgrade would warrant the sale of the 100-400?! Brand switch? Anyway, sounds like you gave yourself a nice birthday present! Happy belated!

Joseph, thanks. I needed to sell the 100-400 to finance my new purchase :) Will tell all later what it is. New body.

[off topic]nice upgrade Ed, nice upgrade.
I decided that my 20d (20k actuations) has not reached pension age yet.
Perhaps i´m jumping on the train with the successor ;-)[/off topic]

LOL, thx, guys. Andreas, I am trying to do more portraiture stuff, so 5D is a very logical choice.

ROFL, sony :) No, my 5D will be here on Wednesday. Together with 85 1.8 lens.
Ed,
I was considering the Sony for a while. A momentary lapse of reasoning obviously.
Congrats on your new purchase and your broaden horizon.
