Hello everyone. Played around with my new Powershot S3IS this afternoon, and only came up with 7 decent pictures. I'm just a beginner and still have a long way to go, so any and all comments are definitely welcome. :-D :-D :-D

Altolamprologus compressiceps (I know it's not much of a photo, I was experimenting with framing )

Stephen, those are really nice Rotkeils. I am a sev fan myself, one day will get some rotkeils. The photos are oK, but need more light and less reflections. Try to shoot in a totally dark room at night, with only the tank lights on, and see if you can increase the light on top of the tank by adding more strips or higher power strips (even if just for the shoot).

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try when work stops getting in the way. Hehe. The lighting really is a problem. My camera ends up focus-hunting more often than not. I've been reading up on previous posts on using tissue paper to diffuse the flash. I might give that a run as well.

I REALLY REALLY like that interesting juli! Probably transcriptus. I've seen melanistic color variants resemble that but haven't ever seen one quite like yours.
