I've decided that while my trusty little Sony still takes some good pictures, I want something with an a, an optical zoom, and b, more then 2 megapixels. After not nearly enough research, I'm down to five, but open to any suggestions on where to go next. I'd like to stay in the under 1000 dollar range, but as long as its under 1200 I'm happy.
Right now I'm looking at eithera Fugi S602, a Nikon 5700, a Fuji finepix S5000, a Fuji Finepix S7000, or a Sony DSC-F828. If anyone who has used any of the above can tell me what they like about it, or any other good quality camera, I'd be most abliged. I don't want to just jump into the deep end, and buy something that I'm going to end up hating later.
Besides money, I don't have many other things I'm looking for, besides a camera that takes decent macro shots, but still good distance shots. It needs to have an optical zoom, and it would be preferable to have interchangeable lenses, but not required. Can anyone give me some ideas?
