OK, these pics have been untouched in any way. No flash was used since it was right under one of my 96watt PC blub.
Not sure if this is the correct thread since it wasn't under water technically.
Both taken with a Canon D30, Tamron 28-75mm lens

I am very happy wit these pics, but I'm still a total Noob, but wanting to learn. What can I do better?

with both the 2X & 4X magnifier (the depth of field is so narrow only portions of the pistils are in focus)

Nice flower!

I'm wondering why you're using so fast ISO under such a light, you have enough light for being able to shoot handhold at ISO100 for the first picture and then for the others. I'll try to get the smallest ISO possible, with same aperture for deepth of field but slower speed. I think you'll increase the pictures' details this way.;)

About composition, try not to keep the main subject in middle of the frame.

Thanks for the feedback, hopefully I'll get a couple more to try it out on.
I'm really new to the whole DSLR thing, and can use every tip I can get.
