Ok, Well, Hello... I am trying to find a Good cam for a cheap price... I am aware of the fact that I need a manual ISO, Shutter Speed, and White Balance, so I have come up with these cams...
Canon PowerShot A80
FujiFilm F700
Canon PowerShot G3
Sony DSC - V1
Kodak DX6440
FujiFilm S5000Z
My main question is this... Does it matter if I can't manually focus it? Also, is it ok if it is only like 3 Megapixles? What about the White Balance, does it have to be custom? The Shutter speed and ISO I already know about...

Well, after some serious comparing of over 300 cams.. I have come down to two finalists!
FujiFilm Finepix S5000Z
Canon PowerShot SI IS
And unless the Fuji Lense can come of and I can add others, I am going with the Canon....

I have the S5000 and as far as I know you can NOT remove the lense although you can add lenses.......if that makes sense at all. I can/do add a telephoto lens and a wide angle lens. Here is a forum dedicated to the S5000, you can ask questions there.....there are people that have way more knowledge that I do about it.

Hope this helps you.

So, is it a nice cam? Would you reccomend it to me? As far as I know, it looks like I can do more with the Fuji than the Canon... The only thing I really like about the canon is that the Lcd can be turned in so that when not in use, it wont get scratched...

I am going with the Canon S1 IS... The difference that is mainley going to get me with the canon is that it has a 1/2000 Shutter speed, and I can change the iso from 50 - 400.. Compared to the Fuji as the lowest you can go is like 160... I also like the way that the LCD on the Canon can turn inward so that it doesent get scratched when not in use.. It lso comes with a 32 meg CP card, which will eventually be upgraded to a 256 MP card... Thanks for the input, I appreciate it! [smilie=punk.gif]
Well... have fun and show us more pictures. I'm sure it's a good camera as I've seen some fabulous pictures taken with it.

And yet again I shall switch because I am going to sell something to afford this one..
Please stand by, and hold your breath...
Low and behold, the..
Minolta Dimage 7Hi
Yes, I am really really liking this one... I actually used to own a Minolta SLR camera, But I couldnt afford developing the film after buying an extra lense for it... So I sold it... now I am going to get back into the hobby, but this time Digital... [smilie=fish2.gif]
hmm...
In this case, you might as well hold your purchase. Photokina is just in Sep 04. And they launch new cameras during that time. So, you are going to get a lot of summer specials when they clear their older models. Existings models also get some price off too.
I don't advocate waiting for newer models (it never ends), but waiting for 2 months to get a price break on a particular model is ok.
Cheers,

Minolta Dimage 7Hi
I'm not trying to convince you away from the Minolta but when I was shopping for my camera, I checked it out......to me it seemed flimsy. I just felt that it would break very easy (I have 7 kids so a strong feeling camera was important to me). Just my opinion though.
You asked if I would recommend the Fugi. Yes I would. Although I am new to photography I have taken some pretty good pictures with it. Check out my gallery http://www.petfish.net/gallery2/view_album.php?set_albumName=Tom

Well, Now that I have listened... I just compared the A1 to the Finepix S7000Z and I am going with the 7000... I know Fuji is a good cam because my sister has a Fujifilm A210 Zoom, That is just a cheap one, but it is made very well, and the way the menues and everything are, I really like it... So, I am going with it... BTW, those are some nice pics! [smilie=bowdown.gif]

For some reason, I have completely ignored the Nikon Coolpix 5700... That looks like a sweet cam... If it is better, i am getting that one...
