Please critique. I need guidance! I love photography and it would be awesome to pursue it for life.

These are all film shots using a Canon 1N.

Sorry if the shots are too big. And thank you!

Edit: I added "Shumpei Maruyama Photo" just for fun :-D.

Welcome, Shumpei! :) First, I would like to know what brand/type of film
was used, what ISO. And did you scan these from the negs, yourself?

BTW, I like 2,3, and 4, great shots! Hardly any grain in this/these film(s).

Yes I scanned them myself using a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III.

brand/type of film? I'm not sure. I remember for the black and white shots I used 200 ISO Arista film? Something my photo teacher had provided for 2.50 a roll (I think it was 2.50, i don't remember :-P). and I developed it myself hehe.

As for the color photo I think its some kind of Fujifilm. Is there a way to check by looking at the film? I'll check later :-D.

And I just noticed there are 4 photos not three.

Shumpei, great job developing the B&W film! The first pic, the sun flare is a
little intense, but I like where you were going with this. The 2nd one is superb
in composition, luv the lighting hitting the tops of the pews. I see an artifact
in #3, a vertical black line on the sidewalk, easy to clean up in photoshop.
And the last, is another great pic, capturing this reflection in a pool, puddle?
I've used Arista B&W film, too, am currently using some Fomapan I got from
Freestyle Photographic Supplies, both in my 35mm and medium format cameras.
That's a nice 35mm you're shooting! What lens are you using for these shots?

For the last three I used a Tamron 90mm telephoto lens. The top shot was shot using a Tamron zoom lens. I don't remember the exact parameters. I remember it went to 70mm max though.

and thanks I never noticed that artifact on the third shot. And now I know what word to use for stuff like that.

The last photo is a reflection of a puddle. And those are leaves that are blurry. It takes a while for some of my friends to figure out that its a reflection and wonder wtf those blurry things are lol.
