What do people think of the composition?

Again, shot using the 18-55mm, f11, 1/150th shutter speed - it was quite breezy,
I've cropped the image slightly and sharpened it. Ideally the tip of the flower would
have been in focus as it is quite distracting, especially as it is overexposed.

Any other thoughts?

Blair, I've been where you've been. Dealing with wind shooting these is a real
pain! Luv the comp, the crop, whatever. Unfortunately, the fly trumps all
else when it comes to focus in these shots, where the plant is just a support
device for the insect. Next time try to nail the focus to the insect, the rest
will fall into place.

I like the crop and composition of the flower, but I do think it would help if the fly were located more towards the end of the "frond." He kinda gets lost, IMO, with that placement. I know we can't pick and choose where our bugs land, but that's all the fun of photography! If perfect shots were gotten the first time out every time, what would be the fun in that?

Thanks for the advice and nice words!

I will get out there again and go bug hunting lol. Dracofish, I know we can't pick where the bugs land but at least now I have another idea of composition to aim for....
