1st shot of the thug for 2013
As per title. It took a while to get this shot with all its fins extended and mouth open at the same time but as we all know, patience pays off for those that have it.
It is putting on size at a reasonable rate so I think I am going to have a real tank buster on my hands sooner than I think. Anyway, enjoy.

That's just stunning, both from aesthetics and technical point of view.
Compared to your shots, mine are like playing with a water pistol, instead of shooting with a AK-47
I need to get myself an external flash, for starters.Canon 600D
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II
Tamron AF 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Di II LD Macro
Nissin Di622 Mark II Digital TTL

Great shot of the fish. Unfortunately the completely black background doesn´t look completely natural, even if it wasn´t photoshopped. Then again, that is just my opinion

I think I would give the picture 10 out of 10 if there had been a piece of bogwood or some leaves from aquatic plants in the shotPhoto gear Nikon D70s IR, D300, FM2, Nikon AF-S 14-24 f2.8G, Sigma 28 f1.8 EX-DG, Nikon 55 f3,5 Ai Micro Nikkor & PK13, Nikon AF 85mm f1.8D, Nikon AF-S 105 f2.8G VR, Nikon AF 180 f2.8, Nikon AF 70-210 f4-5.6D, Nikon SB600 x1, Nikon SB700 x1
